These terms govern your use of Parda. You accept them when you tick each point of the agreement at registration. They work with our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, Prohibited Content Policy, Points & Limits Policy and, if you list a profile, the Member Listing Agreement. If you do not agree with any of it, do not use the service.

1. What this service is

Parda is an introduction platform for consenting adults, including adults who are married or in a committed relationship and are seeking a discreet relationship outside it. We verify identity and age, host profiles, and provide private messaging. What any two adults agree between themselves after that is their own affair and their own responsibility.

This is not an escort service and never will be. Nobody on this platform is paid for their company, and no member may offer, request, advertise, arrange or pay for sexual services. Doing so ends the account permanently, without refund, and may be reported to the police. See the Anti-Trafficking & Exploitation Policy.

We are an intermediary within the meaning of Section 2(1)(w) of the Information Technology Act, 2000, and we operate in accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

2. Legality

Adultery is not a criminal offence in India. The Supreme Court struck down Section 497 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 198(2) of the Criminal Procedure Code in Joseph Shine v. Union of India (2018), and Parliament did not re-enact the offence in the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

That does not make an extramarital relationship free of consequence. It remains a ground for divorce under every Indian personal law and may be raised in maintenance and custody proceedings. If you serve in the armed forces, service law continues to cover this conduct. Nothing on this site is legal advice. Take your own advice before acting.

3. Who may use it

4. Your name and your privacy

Your legal name is collected once, for the identity check, and is never shown to another member. You use a display name of your choosing. This is a deliberate design decision: the less we hold that identifies you, the less there is to lose in any circumstance, including a court order or a security incident.

5. Identity verification

A verified badge means a person at Parda looked at a government photo identity document and a live camera selfie and concluded they appear genuine and match. It is set out in full in the Identity Verification Policy.

It is not a background check, a criminal record check, a character reference, or any assurance about how a person will behave. Members remain strangers. Use your judgement and read the Safety Centre before meeting anyone.

6. Money, and the absence of it

Parda does not take money from members. There are no plans, no credits for sale, no card on file and nothing that renews. Every part of the service — browsing, listing, liking, matching and chatting — is free.

7. What you must not do

The full list is in the Community Guidelines and the Prohibited Content Policy. In summary, you must not:

8. Content you post

You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us a limited, revocable licence to host, store, mask and display it for the purpose of running the service. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account. We do not sell your content, license it onward, or use it in advertising.

You are responsible for what you post and you confirm you have the right to post it.

9. Moderation and removal

We may remove content or suspend an account where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached. Serious breaches — anyone under 18, commercial sexual services, threats, blackmail, or sharing another member’s material — result in immediate and permanent removal, and may be reported to law enforcement.

If we remove your account and you believe we are mistaken, write to the Grievance Officer using the grievance process. A human being will review it.

10. Our role and its limits

We provide a platform. We do not introduce, vet for character, chaperone, supervise or take part in anything members arrange between themselves. We are not a party to any arrangement between members and we accept no responsibility for anybody’s conduct, statements or safety off the platform.

11. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, and since the service is provided free of charge, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of your use of it is limited to INR 1,000. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of relationship, reputation, employment or opportunity.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

12. Disclosure to authorities

We will disclose data when we are legally required to. What that means in practice, what we hold, and how we handle a request, is set out honestly in the Law Enforcement Request Policy. Read it before deciding how much to trust any platform in this category, including this one.

13. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from your account screen. Deletion is genuine and is described in the Account & Data Deletion policy. Since nothing is ever paid for, there is nothing to refund.

14. Changes

We may change these terms. Material changes are announced on this page and by email at least 7 days before they apply, and continued use after that constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept a change, delete your account before it takes effect.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any right you have to bring proceedings in your own place of residence under consumer protection law.

16. Contact

Write to us through the contact page. For a complaint, use the Grievance Redressal process, which has a statutory timeline.
