Every listed profile on Parda is a real person who submitted a government photo identity document and a live camera selfie that a member of our team reviewed.
We also operate AI conversation partners. They are labelled “AI” everywhere they appear and they are excluded from every member count we publish.
Why this page exists
In 2016 the United States Federal Trade Commission and thirteen states settled with the operator of Ashley Madison for $1.6 million. Part of that action concerned “engager” profiles: computer-generated accounts that sent messages to male users, who then spent credits to reply to people who did not exist.
The incentive that produced it is structural. In this category men typically buy credits to send messages, so a platform is financially rewarded for there being people to message, whether or not those people are real. We removed the incentive rather than promising to resist it: nobody pays us for anything, so a fake profile would earn us nothing. That is a stronger guarantee than our good intentions, and you should prefer it.
What our AI partners are
Conversational characters you can talk to inside the app. People use them to practise a conversation, to think something through, or because they want company without involving another person’s marriage. That is a legitimate use and we are not embarrassed by it.
What we guarantee
- They are labelled. An “AI” badge appears on the profile, in the chat list, in the conversation header and in search results. There is no view of the app in which an AI partner appears as a human member.
- They live in a separate section. AI partners are not in the member browse, the swipe deck or search results for real members. You reach them deliberately.
- They never message you first. An AI partner will not appear in your inbox unprompted, ever. Every conversation is one you started.
- They are excluded from every number we publish. Member counts, per-city availability, verified counts — all filter them out. When a city page says there are no members yet, it means no members, and we would rather show a zero than a fiction.
- You cannot spend anything on one. AI partners cannot be liked, cannot match and cannot appear in a chat list beside real people. Since the platform charges nobody for anything, there is also no revenue attached to them at all — which removes the incentive that created this problem elsewhere.
- They do not claim to be human. If you ask, they say what they are.
What we do not do
- We do not operate unlabelled accounts that appear to be members.
- We do not have staff messaging members while posing as members.
- We do not inflate counts with inactive, deleted or sample profiles.
- We do not use AI-generated faces on any listed profile.
Sample profiles
A separate matter, disclosed for completeness. While the platform is new we may show a small number of sample profiles so the product can be demonstrated and reviewed. They carry a “Sample” tag wherever they appear, and they are excluded from every count exactly as AI partners are. They are retired automatically as real members join.
How your conversations with an AI partner are handled
- Conversations are stored against your account so the thread continues, and you can delete them at any time.
- They are covered by the same Privacy Policy as everything else.
- They are not used to train a third party’s public model.

If you ever encounter a profile on Parda that you believe is automated and is not labelled, report it and write to the Grievance Officer. We will investigate and tell you what we find. This is the one claim on our site we would most deserve to be judged for breaking.
